Default DDM hid kit help

Ok so after reading though multiple threads on this topic i am still confused.
heres what i got

I've read that you have to attach the wires to the battery but they don't reach?
Then another thread said i have to cut my factory wiring which I'd rather not do unless you have to.
Sorry if i sound dumb i just really don't want to mess anything up.
thx

All you have to do is plug those two spade connectors into your stock bulb plug, black on negative and blue on positive. You can cut off the little boot thing to give you more wiggle room.

that's seriously all you have to do?
so everything else plugs up together then? i just figured there was more to it because i have seen all types of installs and none seemed that easy.

Yep that easy, the hard part is deciding how and where to mount everything, Ive only got them in my fogs right now. Ill be ordering some for my headlights soon though.

Ok I have another problem.
First the wire ends that plug into the stock harness are about 2x to big is that normal?
Second the bulb will go into the housing but it's to big to be clipped in here's a pic

Maybe this is dumb, but you do realize you have to take the protective case off of the bulb right? That big round plastic peice screws off. I did mine the other night and it took all of 10 minutes. The connector shouldn't be that much bigger, can you take a pic of that part?

Yeah I know I did It would only fit if I took the metal shield off to but it wouldn't mount in the housing. The clips I just grinded smaller.

Unfortunately the LMC housings take 9005/9006 bulbs. See if DDM can exchange them for you. The LMC housings are 100% better quality and have a better cut off then the Euro's (trust me I know).

You just need to order the right bulb type that fits that housing. They should be like $15 on DDM. I read that it takes H7 bulbs but you would want to double check.

KirkJames... I posted this last night.. hope it helps...

I have a 99TA so I ordered the 35W 10K 9006 slim ballast kit and the 35W 10K 880 slim ballast kit for the fogs. With shipping it was $83 bucks.. DDM has a car specific search that will help.

The LMC low beam housings (they call them "outer" housing) catalog # 36-0302 were about $83 bucks as well with shipping..

I can't wait to hook em' up tomorrow...

LOW's and FOG's are both plug and play... Fogs use the stock housing.. They say stick with 35W because of the heat of the bulb.

FYI... It seems a few people are buying the "inner" housings from LMC as well and using the bulbs that come with them since apparently HID's don't like to be flashed on and off...(catalog # 36-0303)
