Slam it, with some different wheels, tint, shave it up and murder it out a little.

LT1 Ram Air hood. DO NOT get the ls1 style. It's hideous.

i guarantee if you look at a bunch of cars that have been lowered vs. cars with rims that have nit been lowered you will quickly realize that stance pulls these cars together much more. I'll try to do that for you. i know of at least 5 other similar red trans am's like what i have, excpept that they're dropped, and every time i see them i get a "damn, what the hell was i thinking not getting some lowering springs first" kind of feeling. But, since i've decided to hold on to my car, i'll be lowering it within the next week or two.

rims will always win in a poll because they're one of the first things that comes to mind appearance wise. they're the first thing you notice when you see a car, they stand out more than anything. when you see a car with rims, it's like "oh that car has nice rims", when you see a car with the right stance, you just know that it looks nice, but it takes a bit more time to realize why, and its because of the drop. The funny thing is, if you go through all of the "look at my new rims" threads, the comments are almost exclusively saying "its nice, but you need a drop". it almost seems as though the 4x4 look is amplified once you add rims to these cars, probably since your eyes are now more draw to that area which leads to you noticing those imperfections more.

That's a damn good point sir. I do think I am going to start with lowering it, cause if you look at my fquick (www.fquick.com/garr) you can see when I got my new wheels the gap between the tire and wheel well looks terrible. I am actually going to spraypaint the wheel wells black when I do it.

Also, what does everyone think about the paint? If I remove all the molding and some decals, get a new hatch AND hood, this bad boys gonna need a paint job. Unless I leave the hatch and hood black haha

That and the Pontiac "Banshee"...the side profile looks way too much like a riced out Honda with a huge spoiler, and straight shot from the back it just looks goofy without the Trans am Bumper.

Honeycombs add a completely different look to the car. LT1 cars didn't have honeycomb taillights at all factory. The V6's had plain, red taillights like you have, and the V8 cars (trans am and formula alike) had the "grid" style with a bunch of rectangles and square reverse lights.

All 98-02 cars had the honeycomb tail lights with the circular reverse lights, regardless if it was a V6, W68, Formula, Trans Am, WS6, Firehawk, whatever, they all had the same tail lights from the factory.

All 93-02 Firebird taillights are interchangeable, however.
actually the 96-97 firehawk had the t/a highrise spoiler as an option.
