Default Wire Mod and TCS Relocation Done

Well i finally took the weekend to take a shot at the Wire Mod and the TCS Relocation. I must say that they both were very simple and easy with no hang-ups. The 1 3/4 hole that i cut into the wheel well was filed and wrapped in, of all things, a gas cap o-ring that fit perfectly. and luckily wince my car is black the empty holes were able to be filled with christmas style plugs. i think that it looks 1000 times better.

He is right it was an option back in the day. its very well possible that whoever ordered your car didnt want it. i put mine behind the pcm because i wanted to keep it stock and not get rid of it but have it look clean.

You LS1 guys are so lucky to have a TCS thats so easy to relocate... LT1 is bolted right to the intack manifold over the diverside valve cover... it's uber-ugly.

I'd like to see some close up pics of where the TCS is actually located.. I've seen this done so many times, but am clueless as to how it rests behind the PCM.

Alls you do is zip tie it to the big bundle of wires that comes out of the firewall to the right of the PCM. You put it so the top (plastic pop off cover) is face TOWARDS the firewall, and bottom (metal cylinder base) is facing toward the front of the car. The cables should face the right, toward the driver. It's easy to see once you have the PCM out of the way how it mounts in there.

yeah all you do is take the pcm out (two 10mm bolts) then zip tie the whole thing to a bundle of wire as stated above. super easy. longest part is lengthening the wires.
