Au Contraire my friends, It doesn't matter if you have a 'camaro or 'bird. Sometimes it just requires more draw upon startup (regardless if it is auto or switched) than factory harness can supply. My 35W fogs just now started acting up and require a relay so they have sufficient draw at start up to ensure a fire every time.

Planning to purchase this very soon.

What bulb type do I need for low beam and fog? Also, do I need to buy any relays or extra cables for my 99 SS vert?

Thanks.

Sid.

i think camaro uses the same bulb and fog size i got 6009 for lows and 880 for fogs-- and i read on here that camaros didnt need a relay cuz their lights dont flip up like trans am do.... but the guy above me says other but u can also get a dual in dual wire harness(relay) from ddm tuning on for like $12.50

lmc housings- are the glass house (i guess u can say) that ur light goes into--u'll need an aftermarket housing because the car comes halogen bulbs/housing they are not replaceable in the sense of changing bulbs ull need to replace the whole thing

ddm tuning is where u buy the hid lights from

I did not see 6009 type in their bulb type list, I saw 9006 though.

Thanks for all the help and info.

Hey guys... Just installed my HID'S from DDM last night.

I bought the LMC Truck housing for my low beams.. catalog #36-0302.. $35 bucks each. From DDM I got the 35W 9006 10,000K "Slim Ballast Kit" for the lows and the 35W 880 10,000K "Slim Ballast Kit" for the fogs. Each kit was $35... I had them on tonight coming home from work and they look AWESOME.. (I don't think they are too blue but that's just my opinion) I didn't buy anything extra and they seem to work just fine. They do take a couple seconds to come up to "full" brightness but if I'm not mistaken that is normal.

The set up looks pretty wicked to me.. Hopefully i'll post pics tomorrow.

I think that's what the relay (the $12.50 item) is for, but that is just 100% pure grade A total guess.
