Please photoshop the 4" VFN hood on a black Trans Am?
Would anyone be kind enough and willing to photoshop the 4" VFN hood on to a black Trans Am with the pictures provided by ProStock John at https://ls1tech.com/psjpics/index.htm
I'd really appreciate it, and I'm sure many others would be interested in seeing this so you'll be doing a good deed for the community <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Thanks a lot!

When I squint that looks like my 4" VFN WS6 hood.
But the nostrils are smaller on mine and the hood is not designed to be a total clone of the stock hood... It's also friendly for custom intakes and forced induction.... www.ls1tech.com/psjpics

I realize that is a Photoshop, but it doesnt look like the actual VFN hood. It looks like a regular WS6 hood altered to have a bigger cowl.
I personally think that picture above looks better than the real VFN hood because the VFN doesnt follow the contour of the rest of the hood that well. If you look at a side pic:
<img src="https://ls1tech.com/psjpics/images/hood2b.jpg" alt=" - " />
You see that the front 1/3rd of the hood is a flat angle going upwards, then about 1/3rd of the way back, it tapers off and becomes flat. I dont like that "hump" the VFN hood has.
Either way, Bob did an outstanding job on that pic, and if that is actually what the VFN hood looked like, I would buy one, but for now, I think I'll stick with the regular WS6 hood.

Theres a noticable bulge about 1/3rd of the way up the hood from the nostrils. In the Photoshopped picture above, there is no bulge since it was based off the original hood.
I think its great that you have something unique on your car, and other than that, (I realize I'm being ****) I like the hood...but it just bothers me for some reason.
Either way, whoever did the Photoshop work did an excellent job!

Hi all,
Just a point worth adding to this current debate. The noted 'bulge' in the VFN hood was in fact an integral part of the design evolution. the 'original' mock-ups looked very similar to the p/shop pic(very nice work!) from Bob. Problem being that that design didn't allow enough clearance for further induction mods, etc. This (VFN) WS6 design was primarily created for race use or hi performance street and needed to meet those types of applications. Typically, we can't please everyone. Perhaps we might revisit the 'softer' version sometime in the new year.

omg that last one was humongous! I think the vfn is a little too big unless you really need that clearance for something.
I like the "softer" version. The vfn is a 4" rise over stock, and that soft one looks to be 2" higher than stock. For the street, id really be interested in the 2" rise. The current 4" vfn is nice but to tall and "sqarey" towards the back.

This is the one I got, went to PA to pick it up. Very noticeable difference from the WS6 hood. I still have to paint mine though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
