Exclamation Auto headlight defeat

I have followed the same procedure I read in the lighting FAQ and |I have shortened the two wires of the light sensor with Scotch Lock like shown in the picture and nothing really happened,,the damn lights still come on by them self at night and I still have no control over it what else could I do to disable them

it worked for me. I removed some insulation from the middle of the wires and twisted them together. I tried using a scotch lock but I couldn't get it to penetrate the wires enough to short them (the one I found in my garage was probably rated for larger gauge wire).

cut the wires completely.. tape them off so they don't touch each other

You have to find a scotch lock for 16-18 guage wires....otherwise it wont cut through the insulation if its any bigger

Just complete the circuit with a paperclip and tape it up

I did it to two of my cars and never had an issue and that is exactly why I used the paper clip.


I've also done it to three friend's cars as well and it took all of 5 minutes
