Also to the OP, for weather stripping all you have to do is get a set of t-top weather stripping. The driver side you cut on the front corner so it will stretch across the back and the passenger side you cut at the back corner and stretch across the front.

^^ Exactly. You can also add a thin weatherstrip across the front where the targa meets the windshield molding for less wind noise on the highway.

thanks to everyone for the comments. been busy and have not been able to post. the car is way under constuction right now. it isnt goin anywhere for awhile. and yes it is gettin reinforced. tha original top will be reinforced too, it is way to flimsy. it is a v6, but i am building up an ls1 as we speak, (picked up the aluminum block and parts friday). when i spoke about just having to sand the body filler i was explaining in advance for the blobs of body filler you can see in the pics. still need more structural work. CAR-O-LINER, is a frame measuring machine we use in the body shop to let us know if the frame or upper structers are dammaged or moved in any way. or in this case, unibody. and tha unibody will b ok, as long as you have enough reinforcment.(y do u think you can smash your foot to the floor with these, even in a conv. that has no roof.) thanks again for the comments. cant please everyone.
