Not sure if I like or not....but im leaning to the side that says I like it! I would only put that on my car if I ran like a 8 sec 1/4 mile though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Ross, that is the prototype, it does not have an underside yet, the first one will be made and installed on Henry's car the 2nd week of January.
Hey Layne you did a awesome job designing the hood it's a nice balance between tough and something that goes with the lines of the car.

Thanks John <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I definitely agree on the design work, outstanding! Once the hood is finalized, I'd also like to see a side by side with a Camaro with the SS hood.

The difference is pretty major.
The new hood scoop is about 3 inches high. A stock SS 98-02 scoop is maybe 1.5 inches high, can anyoen measure?
I also want to add that the VFN SS hood scoop starts about an inch or so farther back than the stock SS scoop. If it was too far forward it starts to look like a snorkel.

Those pics look great so far. I am assuming that they still have to work out the functional ram air under body design of the hood. Unlike the TA hoods where the air is directed right into the airlid.
I am sure they will work something out.

That's freaking badass! Not as wide as I thought it should be, but very nice nonetheless.
That on my red car + black racing stripes...ooooohhhhhhhh yeah!
How much?

I love the SS hood, but I think that WS6 hood is a piece of <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" /> The WS6 looks sooooooo bad and <img border="0" alt="[gay]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_rainbow.gif" /> , it looks so lazy and does not follow the body lines, I would throw it in the garbage

Re: VFN SS Hood Pictures!!!
IMO, it doesn't look good at all. If it was wider, then maybe. But that just looks like this: __{~}__ rather than a nicer more wider look

Re: VFN SS Hood Pictures!!!
It is the perfect width IMO.
I just don't think it will look right with a factory scoop grille in it. I guess I will just have to make my own.
