i like louvers when they look good. the astra hammond ones designed for the 93-02 cars just don't look that great, and they're the only option. a large part of the design not really looking right, was the size/dimensions of the window, which made it hard to design something that looked right.
I was really on the fence thinking about it, but i've never seen a car that made me confident enough in it's looks to get it, especially since i 've heard of several cases of peoples louvers detaching from the car at high speeds. those people were refunded, but still...
must say though, that t/a is the best looking car i've seen with them, they flow better with the high rise. it'd look even better painted black (gloss finish)

I say get the louvers. I have the Astra Hammond louvers on my car. The only real flaw in the design is that you must remove the louver entirely to clean the back window. The top is hinged, but the spoiler of the Trans Am prevents the louver from being raised unless the louver is completely detached. Obviously this would not be a problem with a camaro or a formula rear hatch. Unfortunately these plastic louvers from Astra Hammond appear to be our only option at the moment. I think they look good but would prefer a three piece aluminum design. Perhaps if enough people purchase louvers for the 4th gens a company will produce an aluminum design. So far my louvers have been attached to the vehicle for about a month or two. I've driven long distances (several hours at a time) on the interstate where the speed limit is 75mph and they have rnot fallen off. For short distances I've taken it over 100mph. I think it would be better if at least the two top brackets had something other than 3m tape attaching them to the window, but so far I've had no problems.
