Question for those that have installed the LEDs before. I've searched as to what LED to use, and keep receiving mixed results.
I know it's any replacement for the 194 bulb. However, I don't want to burn my a whole in my dash either.
Example:

Produces:

To me, that looks TOO bright.
However, I put in:

And the result was:

(Phone was what I had handy at the time. It is a little misleading as the bottom gauges ARE visible, but only just. Compare to the light output of the odometer.

So my question is... is there a happy-medium between over bright, and dull? I'd still like to maintain dimmer functionality... which it seems with my current LEDs, I've pretty much lost that.

Read the write up I did on our forum. I made it SUPER easy to do LED's. Pics and a write up too.

^Thanks.
Will these allow for the BRAKE/Check Gauges/SES light to be more visible? All 3 of those are ON in the pic I posted. And as you can tell, they are hardly visible at all.
I was under the impression the "Stupid lights" had their own individual amber light. Or do they receive their light from the 8 LEDs?
$4.95/ea is a bit steep, especially since I'm going to need 8!!

You were correct. All the idiot lights have their own soldered in bulb. Swapping the LED's will not effect the dummy lights.

The only option I know of is to have Mcnord make the area behind the dummy lights a "1 piece" area while he's cutting them. I did that and mine are very bright. It's something that isn't offered but can be ordered if you do your research on it. All you have to do is ask for it if you know about it.

Other than that, you can try cutting the area behind each dummy light yourself and leaving it as only one layer.

Since it's super secret, mind emailing me with more details? It almost seems like the words are too small for the light or something. Like not enough light is getting dispersed through the overlay so it can be read clearly.
I'll try getting a better picture to explain later this week.

We'd love to have your order, but at the moment the machine we use for the needles is down. It's been down a week or so, but it should be up and running in 2-3 days.

For all of you that are waiting on your orders, they should be rolling out this week.
