Default waxing... windows

thought to wax my side windows when waxing my car the other day, see if they would reflect light more, appear darker. and they did look darker to me, didnt tell anyone about the wax job, friends asked if i got my windows tinted again.

it seems like it did make a pretty big difference. even my girlfriend said she couldnt see inside the car when usually she could see an outline
plus it keeps my windows shining to match the rest of the car

You two are not alone. I do it too. Too bad it hasn't kept the water spots off my glass.

I wax my windows as well. Gives them a nice shine and I do notice that the water beads off better

my theory is it makes the windows shine more, reflect more light. i took pictures when i did it, my windows were mirrors with only 35% tint

Interesting, I'll give it a try this weekend.. Do you use a wax paste, or would a liquid like Nu-finish work, cause I think thats all I have left at my house right now

Better idea here. Sealant works better than wax on glass too.

If I'm really getting deep into a full detail I'll claybar my windows, then wipe them down with Stoners Invisible Glass cleaner. You'll never see a cleaner window.

I did that for years with paste wax until I tried some RainX. It's so much better.

I've always waxed my windows. Going to have to try out this RainX. Is it a liquid or paste or what?

No truth to that at all.

Don't use rainx on the inside, its not meant for the coating thats on the inside. Besides theres no reason to put it on the inside anyway.
