Re: Camaro export tail light part #??
i have read hundreds of post saying that they are very hard to find. i was just curious and entered the pn's at gmpartdirect and their web page says that they can get them for @$100.00 each plus shipping. i think that you would get an email saying that they are on back order and then one saying that they were unable to find them.

Yeah,
I got the same thing, ~$100 each, the parts are still listed.
The only problem is that GM stopped producing them long ago and all the spares are gone.
Try ordering a set, but they will inform you then.
They did me anyway. They only had a couple right sides left (this is all of GM), and no lefts. I didn't pick up a right because I didn't figure it made sense.
Now I wish I would have... they are ALL gone now.

I ordered a set. My parts buddy said $140.00 a piece. It's just a waiting game now to make sure I get them and they're the right thing. I'll let you know what happens. Maybe I can hook some people up.

Re: Camaro export tail light part #??
There was a thread on exports a while back on LS1.com. A guy jumped in and bragged he found some at a dealer in another part of the country. He ordered them at $200 ea.
He posted a few days later that he recieved the 97-up domestic lights.
Don't know whether to laugh at the guy or cry for him.

Ummm..... Tudds is your best bet, he knows where to get them....from JAPAN.....trust me, there aren't any left in the states, none (although maybe one left hander in California)....Japan is the only place....G.M parts direct will send you the same lights you allready have on the car (US Tri-colors) with a green sticker on them that says "exports", don't know why, but thats what you get, not the ones your looking for...
