I currently have a lt1 Trans Am and this winter im putting the ls1 trans am front end conversion on and getting a 4" Slopped Ram Air hood from vfn.. I wanna do away with the moroso cold air and put a ram air set up on it. Anyone done this and what kind of air box set up you running?

 

I have 4" WS6 hood on my LS1 WS6 Trans Am. The hood hits the ram air intake and you'll NEED to trim the hood for it to fit right. I'll be ditching my Ram Air intake and getting K&N FIPK intake.

 

Well that sucks, could I just do a ls1 lid conversion, gotta be better than a lt1 cold air set up..

 

I'd almost think that the LT1 style Ram Air might be better. even after trimming my hood to fit to close, I still can't see straight in to the filter like I could after I took the rain baffles out of my factory WS6 hood. I'd have to trim the VFN hood even further. i'm not gonna trim it more as I think it'll be just right for the fIPK intake.

 

has anyone tried any other type of setup and had it work with this hood? Lt1 ws6 ram air box, ls1 ws6 ram air box or just run a stock ls1 box with a lid?? Looking for pics and ideas..
