I went with something different, just got my SS spoiler on and painted.

I will have the stinger shaped run ins on the hatch painted where it meets the spoiler along with the roof all black so it flows really well.

I love it!

and a non-edited one so you can see how it really looks, lol.

It's easier to paint it off the car. It's not hard to remove, just remove the tail lights, and there are 4 plastic screws that hold it in if i remember right.

Yeah its easy to remove, just 4 or 6 plastic wing nuts behind the carpeting.

I'm sure there is some vinyl you could wrap it in, but I would honestly just pick up a spare and paint that one and keep the original one as well, that way you can switch.

Junk yards will have the panel for like $25-$40...

^ What they said. Mine had 4 wingnuts for the tailights, 2 per side, and had 4 metal nuts holding the tailight panel on, two on the outside and 2, one on each side of the back hatch latch. I took mine off, wet sanded it a lil to scuff the paint so the new paint will stick, let it air dry real good, then painted mine flat black, sprayed a couple coats of flat on there, then followed it with some flat clear coat so it would help protect the flat a lil more than to not have the clear coat.

Nah man, its a small enough panel you can do it yourself, of course the paint shop will do MUCH better, but I think mine came out pretty damn good for rattlecan.

I just wetsanded mine as well, maybe started with like 600 then went to 1000 or so?
Mine is glossy now, I had satin at first but I think glossy is much nicer!

Originally I left my rear letters body colored by putting some plumber's putty in and painting over then removing it, since they're a bitch to tape off.

This time I just sprayed the whole thing and got some like $7 vinyl pieces I think...much easier!

^ I believe they are but I could be wrong though. I dont see why they would be different but I have been wrong before so I'm not gonna say 100% its the same.

Looks great with Silver! I've done it to my NBM Z28 and my old Bright Red Z28 and they both looked awesome!

The 93 Z28:

My current 99 Z28:
