not any weaker than a vert; but all these cars need SFCs anyway.

I think you 6le guys would do better to include the hardware with the targas, but even still ive been considering it

EDIT: there was a guy here in AZ, i cant remember his name but it was like MEATBALL or something.. white v6 camaro that he did a targa conversion to and did a writeup of his dremel work taking out the divider. I forget if he did it here or on z28/cz28

EDIT:meatyshells

AGREEED!!!! I have a hardtop, if they made a full glass targa I would do the conversion and beef up the frame as much as possible to make up for that epicness. Nothing beats having the windows all rolled up and being able to look out of the roof at night cruising!!

there's another camaro with the full targa done (red and gold z28), and also a firehawk (member here on tech), and another member who started a thread like a month ago after cutting his roof out. but i dont feel like digging up those links at the moment

I'm going to be doing a full targa conversion as well, once 6LE's done with them. I'll already have the SFC's in before doing any cutting. If Mark's cool with it, i'd like to drive down to socal to pick it up and cut the t-top bar out and all while there. I know they have a lot of experienc with cutting these roofs apart, so they'll have a better idea of exactly what to do than i would. plus i wouldn't have to ship it, and i have some friends to visit while there, so it'll be worth the 5 hour drive.
targa top and vette wheels, guess he should have bought a vatte

Thankfully not everyone thinks just like you. I'd hate to live in a world where everyone thinks the same...be different.

I for one will be doing the 6LE targa because I can't stand the t-tops and the leaking. Plus it looks a hell of a lot better than the tired look of t-tops. I won't be doing corvette wheels tho, because I have DIFFERENT tastes!

Not personally lashing out at you, I'm just tired of seeing people bitching about others being different. Trust me I don't like some of the stuff I've seen done to these cars, but none of those are my car so I keep my mouth shut.

Best I remember, there won't be a glass top because of how ungodly expensive it would be to get tempered glass made for it

He hasn't done it, but other people have if you search around. I believe 6LE has both fiberglass and carbon fiber pieces in stock now. I've contemplated it, but can't make up my mind

Looks like it would be $650 for the top shipped, then you need to paint it, and do the work of cutting out the ttop bar. I'd say anywhere in the $900-$1500 range depending what you do yourself.
