The FIRST (and currently only) 6LE CARBON FIBER Firebird Splitter!
First, a HUGE thank you to Mark (6LE) for making this splitter and helping me out with a couple problems I ran into. He's a real stand-up guy, and I will definitely be buying from him again.
I like the way 6LE splitters look on Firebirds, but I wanted one in carbon fiber for a racier, high-quality look. I got in touch with Mark, and he gave me a couple different options. He recommended making the splitter a little thicker than the ABS plastic version, so we went with that. It took a little while to get made, but it was well worth the wait!
Here's a pic of the carbon weave:
And here's the splitter on the car:
I painted the hardware and spacers flat black:
I have the splitter adjusted about as far forward as it can go to clear the front tires. It doesn't extend too far past the bumper though:

Wow, that looks a million times better than the black one! I thought about having one of 6LE's splitters hydrocoated (cheating, I know), but it was just too much $$$ for the whole thing.

Actually, no. It is thinner but molded to have a rolled down lip to be stronger and look thicker. That's how they make them for a lot of higher end cars so that is what we did...
This way it is PURE CF (no added material for thickness) so it is light but still strong.
