Make your own decals?

Make your own decals? With all the technology out there surely there is a way to make our own decals. Has anyone done this? What kind of paper to use? I have the whole digital photography studio so a printer and computer is not needed. Thanks.

Re: Make your own decals? You need to use a good vinyl for decals, so simply printing on the printer is not an option. However, there are cnc vinyl machines that you can import a picture, set boundaries, and away it goes. That is what most people do. However, they're bloody expensive and you're better off just buying a set.

Re: Make your own decals? I design my own decals, but I don't go to the trouble of making them myself. Besides it's cheaper to go to a decal studio. The place I go to charged me $12 for 4 decals that were 7"x4". You would need some expensive equipment to make your own decals. A regular printer can't make decals and you would need rolls of vinyl because decals aren't made out of paper. You need a special thermal transfer printer which uses heat to cut the design out of the vinyl. Those printers cost big bucks. The vinyl is also a little expensive if you don't buy in bulk. If you have Adobe Illustrator you can design your decal then save it in ESP format. Any good Decal Studio should be able to open the file. Hope this helps.
