not a verry good pic of the way i did the rear on my 94 vert but gives you a idea lol!! I painted the underside of the ss wing black also!

im not real sure, but i just figured id try something diff and it looked ok to me lol!!! I left the lip that roles over white and fine line taped it there!

I would do this... totally legal since there is nothing besides clearcoat on the actual brake lights.

Instead of getting the SS emblems like you talked about, I'd try and get the old '69 SS emblems and replace the back one and the two sides. But I'd try and get em from somewhere that reproduces them for people that's restoring them and not the stuff that looks like it's just laser cut out of metal polished and said "here ya go".

I sanded the taillights with 400 and then 600 sandpaper, cleaned them up really good, and then taped off the red part. Then I shot the reverse/turn signals with 3 coats of VHT. Then I sanded the VHT with 600, pulled the tape and shot the whole lights with 3 nice coats of clear.

Dont do the tails its looks nice and clean that way. BTW what part of NY are you from?
