Default HID+Wiper Motor Failure

Ive been through 4 camaros, with HIDS and they all kill the wiper motor, the wipers jump around when the headlights are on at night, so i dont wanna go through this again, but i was told that DDM tunning has a special harness?? will this work if i get these? or will i end up paying $400 for a new wiper motor lol?

That is weird, I NEVER had my wipers do anything odd with my HIDs and I had them on the car for 2 years. Maybe you just had crap HID kits?

Had my DDM HIDs in lows and fogs for months and I have never had any problems with my wipers or any other electrical system for that matter. No harness or anything.

Same here. Haven't had a problem with mine and mine aren't DDM Tuning's HID kit.

i have this problem.. and still dont know what exactly it is.. but sometimes when i wiggle the harness thats plugged into the ballast it stops.. i might try getting a new wiring harness and see if that fixes it...

I had this exact same problem, go on ebay and purchase a relay harness to connect between the hid ballast and the battery. My wiper motor went out on me and since I've had the harness in I haven't had any problems and it has been at least 2 years.

^^^Exactly, just get a relay harness that will hook up the hid's to the stock factory harness. There are plenty of kits out there and if anyone knows a sponsor on here that sells one post it up for everyone, I got my kit from a non-sponsor company so I will not post their name on here.

haha, i had this same problem last year after i put my hid conversion in. I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what the hell was going on, i just pulled my wiper fuse at night time untill i put a new wiper motor in and havent had a problem yet, didnt spend that much on a new motor. I think they share the same ground?
