1 Bad Bird - I think your link doesn't work.

Crash02 - I was wondering how much you paid for the job. The reason I ask is because the dealer wants $209.95ea plus tax for the collecter edition. Yours is very similar in design, I think the dealer is asking for too much dinero. They include a whole new head rest w/ the illustration in a ebony or neutral color.

I had them done locally. I used the 30th anniversary bird from the stock
30th headrests. I removed all the other lettering and added the Trans Am
above. I added the T/A above because I felt the bird looked to small
without lettering and if I made the bird any bigger the bird would be to
big. The 30th bird is smaller than the one I have. I can't remember what
size mine is exactly. I had to have the new image digitized and then had to
pay to have it embroidered. All in all it cost around $200 to have it done.

Those are my headrests you are referring to in your link. $200.00 is way too much! I got mine digitized and embroidered at a local shop here in town. It cost me $70.00 cdn (approx.$50.00 usd) for the pair. I supplied the design. I was considering the name but I prefer to keep it modest and thought it looked a bit much with the both the bird and the name but each to their own.

Also my head won't rub against them which is a good reason not to place them on the upper curved part because it sticks out more.

It would cost me Less than $100 to get them done now. Who drives around with their head tilted back on the headrest anyway? Not anyone I know. Look at the C/E and the 30th headrests. They come up to the curved part on the headrests. I guess since GM isn't worried about it then I won't.

My point was that my price included the digitizing fee as I stated earlier. So to compare apples to apples mine were under $50.00 and yours were $200.00 as you stated. That's why I said that $200.00 is way too much.
GM doesn't mind making a ridiculous amount of $$$ when you want replacements either.
BTW you don't have to tilt your head back, just sit in the car normally and drive. You will see that many things make contact on the embroidered design.

LMAO!! This is one of the funniest posts I've ever read so far!

I personally think ND4SPD's head rest looks better.

Crash02, Im not trying to say yours look bad as I always wondered how they'd look with either "Trans Am" or "WS6" over the bird logo. Its always awesome to see new ideas so congrats.

But if theres a problem with your response I got my guns ready
