Default How Can I Fix This?

well i finally figured out the rattle in the back when i have my subs on. i guess it got bent when my car was getting painted but how could i fix this? i know a permanent way but i dont know if i want to go that route. all of the clips are on and not broken

Pull the trim panel down and epoxy the broken tab/s back on

thats the thing. there are no broken tabs its just bent there. i was thinking about throwing some jb weld on the inside and letting it dry but i dont want a permanent fix just incase

You sure there isnt a foreign object just caught in between the panel and deck lid ?
Im kinda shootin in the dark here cuz the pics are hard to tell exactly whats goin on .

my 98 Z has the same thing drive's me nut's driving on a bumpy road, or at a stop light when it's cold. I can never remember too fix it when im home.

OMG^^ why does this happen?! lately my car feels like its in 100 pieces these plastic trims suck! i think ill check one by one n see wts wrong..

nope no foreign objects stuck, nothing. its just purely bent i checked the tabs and they aare not broken. its just that corner is bent which is rubbbing on the plastic panel under it and its annoying

go to auto zone. They sell packs of 15.
no more rattle for me. These are alot thicker than stock.
you simply pull the cover off slowly, and just replace them.

but there is not a tab to put in that corner where it is bent.. there isnt even a spot where it looks like there was one before

It doesnt hurt to try and remove so you can see better. its bent for a reason.
If all tabs where in their correct place, it wouldnt have bent itself that way.

I think it was when the body shop removed it when my car was getting painted and that's where they started pulling it off. I was thinking about trying velcro up around that corner

When they removed it, maybe some of the other tabs werent inserted right making the cover bend a bit. Remove it and replace the tabs, if problem is still there, then velcro would be your second option.
