SS stripes look horrible...
SS stripes look horrible... My stripes are fading pretty bad on my 99 SS. Is it a better idea to just have a paint job done or look for replacement vinyl? I know the paint job would last longer, but custom work gets pretty damn pricey.

If you really like having the stripes, you can get a set from these guys. http://www.3rdgendecals.com/ They are great to deal with and have pretty decent prices. Otherwise, you could always take the stripes off and go for the clean and simple look. Good luck!
My TA has Vinyl stripes and the wife has painted srtipes i recomend painted, they do look better and my TA Vinyl stripes and faded from sun, Vinyl is a great way to see if you like the stripes or not here is a rear pic of the wfes ride i love the way her stripes look on the rear, on her hood we wanted the 92 Heritage stripes and i am noy happy with the hood here are a couple pics i vote for Paited stripes,

If the car is white, I'd say the heck with black stripes and any other color or than line a light silver. That setup looks killer and better than any other combo. Any other screams " Hey, look at me" where as the white/silver has a more low key yet great look to it.
