Re: 427 hood??? Ive only seen one pic, but if it is really a VFN hood, try talking to them, and seeing if they've got any kind of public relations material on the car. Maybe they've got some extra stuff lyin around?

Re: 427 hood??? only reason i would see VFN not supporting any new hoods is because there wont be a high enough demand being there is no new Fbody. But they're going to get a bunch of offers for the 4" SS and WS6 hoods, so I dont see why they wouldnt make a hood if enough people demanded it, but thats the nature of business i guess.
only thing i guess we could do, is contact VFN and see what they or if GMPP has it, see what they have to say. Email, call, write, hell show them this post. If these ppl see enough of an interest into their product, im sure they'd make it

Re: 427 hood??? if someone would have come out with a few body kits, i bet there would have been more camaro sales, everyone now is in to making their car look different. as for the 427 hood, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> that hood looks perfect for the f-body, goes with the smooth contents much better. Guess thats why i favor the mecham hoods.

Re: 427 hood??? I e-mailed VFN a few days ago about the hood and got a reply. They basically told me that they had no plans to make this hood in the future and I should start talking to Harwood. Sounds like the f-body leaving....they have no plans to make them. Oh well we can always hope another company will pick up the slack.

Also, folks keep your requests constructive otherwise they fall on deaf ears. Asking for a new offering while simultaneously bashing a recent new offering is pretty dumb.

Just blowing off steam. Sorry.
Let me keep the part of my post up about having talked to Harwood though. Folks should know that they said they are not doing any hoods for the LS1 cars. They have the SS copy and that is all.

I recieved an email from VFN saying that they are not going forward with the hood. They said whoever I talked to on the phone was mistaken and thought I was refering to another hood they are working on (4" SS I think).
So they are for sure not making the hood.
