If yo refering to me yeah they use them in memory of some chief or something up there that used to be in the Navy, which in the Navy, green actually means a fire is somewhere on the ship. So after the guy got out of the Navy, he becamea firefighter up there and so they use the light in his honor for bringing useful stuff from the Navy and improvised them into there fire tactics today. Just a history lesson, lol.

I have something like these on my car - they came with it when I purchased it. I probably wouldn't have bought them if they didn't, as I hear they're a couple hundred bucks.
FYI, at least for mine, pictured below, you cannot disable the small LED lights going up the edge of it. There are two plugs behind the headlight, one for the high beam, one for the low beam - that's it. The good news is that those small LED lights are barely noticeable and don't really detract from the appearance as much as one would think.

Hmmm, next time I'm up at my car storage I'm going to take a look again; I would definitely prefer not to have those little lights lit up. Thanks.

I have the R8 style headlights.
I had to drill into them just to get the HID bulbs to fit.
The cutoff it way bad, like a triangle when it should be a flat line. In order to fix that, Im going to have to take the ******* apart and modify the cutoff, or buy different headlights.
dont get the R8 if you want HIDs.
