I just purchased the Sonar projectors like Sparky mentioned and i love the way they look in my car but they have a horrible low beam light out put so i purchased a HID kit for my low beams and am waiting for it to come in. do you guys think this will help my light output??

Oh definitely. The halogen is okish, HID really makes the difference. Just make sure you aim them right, mine were pointed at the ground when I first installed them So yeah needless to say without them aimed properly you won't see very far at all.

If yo refering to me yeah they use them in memory of some chief or something up there that used to be in the Navy, which in the Navy, green actually means a fire is somewhere on the ship. So after the guy got out of the Navy, he becamea firefighter up there and so they use the light in his honor for bringing useful stuff from the Navy and improvised them into there fire tactics today. Just a history lesson, lol.

I have something like these on my car - they came with it when I purchased it. I probably wouldn't have bought them if they didn't, as I hear they're a couple hundred bucks.

FYI, at least for mine, pictured below, you cannot disable the small LED lights going up the edge of it. There are two plugs behind the headlight, one for the high beam, one for the low beam - that's it. The good news is that those small LED lights are barely noticeable and don't really detract from the appearance as much as one would think.

Actually, you can, I had a set like that. the wires that power the halos and LEDs have a little plug that split off that you can remove the LEDs from the power feed, leaving halos only.

He is right. I also had those eagle eyes. I got rid of them due to the poor light output. The stock lights are much better than the eagle eyes projectors, which also had HIDs in them.

they aren't TOO noticeable in your pics thebronxbull, but they would look much better w/ just the projectors. I hate those little lights

Hmmm, next time I'm up at my car storage I'm going to take a look again; I would definitely prefer not to have those little lights lit up. Thanks.

Just installed my Sonars. $145, shipped. Just 3 LEDs on the side. I can live with those...definitely. Came out pretty good...especially with my 8000K HIDs.

The box they came in. Super-duper packaging. Seller wants his customers to get the headlights in MINT condition!!

I have the R8 style headlights.
I had to drill into them just to get the HID bulbs to fit.
The cutoff it way bad, like a triangle when it should be a flat line. In order to fix that, Im going to have to take the ******* apart and modify the cutoff, or buy different headlights.

dont get the R8 if you want HIDs.
