Re: Suncoast WS6 Hood????NEED HELP!!! The suncoast hood looks pretty good on the top, but the underside of it is raw fiberglass. I was looking at buying one a while back, but after seeing the underside I decided to buy a GM WS6 hood. Its only a little bit more. If you are not concerned with how your engine bay looks under your hood then its not a bad deal. It is not however an exact replica of the stock hood. The grooves that are in the "nostrils" of the GM hood are not present in the suncoast hood. But if you have any other questions I would be more than happy to help out. The people at suncoast are easy and pleasant to work with. Just a bit of info for ya. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

As for the underside of the hood I used the insulation from my factory hood.(pics in sig)Also if you dont allready know the hood is a little taller than the factory one wich I love. I have a side pic (in sig)of my car you can kind of see that it is taller more noticable torwards the back of the hood near the winshield. Hope this helps let me know if you have any more ?'s

Suncoast WS6 Hood????NEED HELP!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I need some opinions about the Suncoast hood, i know it looks bad *** and all but is the fitment problem a really big issue or no? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> Let me know or should i just stick with the stock GM hood????? Re: Suncoast WS6 Hood????NEED HELP!!! I sealed mine with soft rubber weatherstripping cause I couldn't stand to see the foam rotting away everytime I popped the hood...

Re: Suncoast WS6 Hood????NEED HELP!!! The Rubber weatherstripping sticks on with 2 sided tape onto the hood and makes a tight seal against the tops of the airbox...
I removed the baffles for a direct shot into the filter and have driven through many daily Orlando Rain Storms without an problems <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Re: Suncoast WS6 Hood????NEED HELP!!! hi, bro I really recommend looking around and finding a real WS6 hood. I know they are a little more but are well worth it. My body guy laughed when he tried to fit the suncoast on and said i would be ruining my car. The fitment of that hood was all f**cked up, and The under sides are not finished like the real hood also. Look around and talk to some body guys and you will be able to find a real hood cheap, I paid few hundred more for a real, and thats about what you will spend in extra fitting on the suncoast. Just my opinion. Ryan

I was looking for you awile back I wanted to know where you got the weather stripping from? I looked to do the same set up that you have on your car, but could never find the right weather stripping to make it work <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> . I have just about looked everywhere that I can think of <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> .
