ROH Shadow Chrome "Black Ice" wheels
Does anyone have a set of ROH wheels that have the shadow chrome finish? I am considering the "Monaco" wheels in that finish for my SOM WS6. I would love to se some pics. I am also thinking about the Fikse FM/5 wheels...

Re: ROH Shadow Chrome "Black Ice" wheels
I have them, though I do not think they look like they have brake dust all over them. They are shiny, but not "bling-bling" shiny like chrome can be on an otherwise monochromatic car.

Those look great on your black Camaro! Do those come in a 17x11 size? I wonder how those would look on a SOM... Do they shine like chrome when the sun directly hits them?

Re: ROH Shadow Chrome "Black Ice" wheels
I am not sure about a 17x 11 size. Mine are 17x9. Contact www.groupawheels.com they can help.
They are shiny in the sun, but still not as shiny as chrome. The shine is more along the lines of polished aluminum. I am not crazy about chrome on a black car, but still wanted some shine and these wheels fit the bill.
If you like the look of the wheels, they will look good on SOM.

Re: ROH Shadow Chrome "Black Ice" wheels
Here is the Monaco wheel that I am considering in the black ice. I was think about doing the blacked out Trans Am on the door and maybe a black pillar bird to accent the black in the wheels... I was also thinking - call me crazy - but maybe the zbaron hood H-stripe or blackbird stipe and/or the bottom door portion of the 35th anniversary side stripe... Maybe some combination of those with the black ice might look cool or it might look REAL cheesy. I'll try and photoshop some options and post them on my webshots for some input... Here are the rims:

I LOVE these wheels:

But the biggest they come in is 17x8...

Re: ROH Shadow Chrome "Black Ice" wheels
The "black ice" finish reminds me of when my stock ws6 polished wheels are slightly dirty and a condensate forms over them on cold nights, leaving a damp film or haze. If you are looking for a not so bling-bling finish, Fikse's standard finish is just right IMO. not too dull, not too shiny. Or course they are probably in a different price range than a ROH wheel, but I'm sure they (ROH) have something resembling the Fikse's finish. The SOM WS6 on Gm High Tech a while back had the Fikse's and it looked incredible

Re: ROH Shadow Chrome "Black Ice" wheels
Were those Fikse's a high-polished ones or their regular polish?
Here is my webshots page:

Look at the last picture in the WS6 album and tell me if that looks cheesy or not. I kinda like it. I darkened my rims and added a stripe, blacked out Trans Am lettering, and a pillar bird. Thanks!

They have locations in NY and AZ. My family has been getting wheels and tires from the NY location for years and they are always fantastic.
P.S they are the North American distributors for ROH and Simmons wheels which are made down under in Australia.
