Why don't you jus' check out the other threads? I know you don't care but I'm sure you will find the information you need with a simple search. Anything discussed here will only be a reiteration of what's been said time and time and time again.

Adams is good stuff, if you want a great 1 step wax NXT 2.0 paste works amazingly good.

+1

The Meguiar's NXT 2.0 is the only wax I have used on my car. In my experience with it, it definitely makes a black car have that mirror look to the paint, it is easy to work with, and it appears to be very high quality as it usually lasts a good 2-3 months on my car (a daily driver).

Im with him, but the way to get a mirror reflection is wash and claybar the whole vehicle, get a porter cable buffer, and buff the car with an abrassive compound and an abrasive pad, then switch to a more gentle compound and gentle pad, then wax. I reccomend the mothers M105/M205 combination for your compounds. after about 20 hours of work you'll be smooth as glass. check a website called autogeek, they have all kinds of detailing threads and supplies.

Agreed te m105/205 combo works wonders. the nxt wax is a good one step but you are going to get better results from more time, steps, and a couple products that can build on each other. For a black car I would wash, clay, 105 or 205 depending on damage with p/c, then wash dry and seal with meguairs polymer 2.0.

I claybar first.

Then I use Maguires ultimate detail spray.

Then I use Maguires spray wax.

Adam's polishes are good, too.

Claybar works very well.. Follow directions on it closely.

Car looks flawless Cobrahunter. It is evident that you took your time with it.

By the way its Meguiars - good product.

Basically, don't go cheap on Detail Products !! you will regret it.

Clay bared
Buffed with Megs 105 compound with rough foam pad
Buffed with Megs Swirl X with fine foam pad to give it a deeper and darker look
Polished with Zaino All in One (AIO)
Sealed with Zaino Z8 sealant spray

Started with this:

Ended with this:

On my old Grand Prix with 170K miles on it. I skipped the buffing and just clay bared and Zaino'd because it was my DD. Yes there were still swirls but Zaino gives a hell of a lot more shine and protection that lasts three times as long as anything I've tried from any parts store.

We were out at the Grand National Roadster Show all weekend and my big project was the black 1932 'Fantom' Roadster that was in the running for the AMBR

While I took on the '32 while Marky took on the Auburn custom across the aisle.

As you can see the painters didn't do me any favors with prep on the '32

1 pass of SHR + Orange Pad on the Flex followed up with a number of passes of FMP + white pad brought the paint back to a stunning deep black

I proceeded around the car the same way and knocked the rest out - one snag was the silverleaf pulling off with the tape - that will be another story for another time

Divide & Conquer! There was a lot of onlookers as we put the Adam's touch on these babies:

Time for a quick shot with each car and then back to the booth to pack it in for the night...

Our boys from Oregon done good! This thing showed up sanded down to 3000 grit!!

Don't worry... that yellow towel was only used to polish out some of the underhood accessories. After polishing the entire car was treated to a thin coat of our Brilliant Glaze, then followed up with Americana Paste Wax.

Its not done until it gets an official reflection thumbs up!

Thanks man! I need to get some updated pictures, nothing much will change, just the color of the stripe on my hood, replacing the sail panel and repainting the spoiler due to a deep scratch. I cant wait for spring time again.
