Default Silverstar Fog Lights - worth it?

I'm thinking about replacing my stock fog bulbs with silverstar bulbs in my Formula. Has anyone done that and does it work? Will it melt the housing? If not, can anyone recommend an upgrade BULB for the fogs and give me a part #?

+1. I tried them a long time ago before the hid kits came out and they burned out regularly without giving much of increase in light. DD Tuning has hid kits for our cars @ $35 a pair. #880 bulbs. They work awesome; I rarely use my pop-ups driving on city streets.

I definitely agree with everyone here. I bought some of the silverstars for my fogs and they really aren't any better than some cheapo 880's. Very expensive for a a single bulb on top of that...

If you just want the bulbs replaced, get the cheap ones. If you are looking for a brighter light and some style to boot, then you can't go wrong with hid's.

I'm happy with my Silverstar headlights, but for the fogs... I couldn't tell the difference from the OEM bulbs.

You might as well get HIDS for the fogs, although I wouldn't put HIDS in the headlights unless they were projectors.
