New appearance mods!!
What was done:
1. Hid wireharness (great idea Steve2000SS!!) -- however I managed it without ANY soldering .
2. Hid air pump hose (driver side) and hood latch cable
3. Polished A/C accumulator and related lines
4. Added Mobil 1 emblem and LS6 oil cap
5. Painted oil dipstick handle and green fuel line cap (red)
There may be a couple more in there but I began to loose track. Bad part is, for the few things that I did, I added 15 or 20 more to a 'new' list . Now that I've broke my rear end (damn it!), I may have some additional down time to look into that list :dopey: . Let me know what you think (check sig)

Good job btw on the appearance mods, how did you do hide the wire harness?
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Looking at the current position and location of the factory harness location, I figured if I could move the harness inboard slightly and by relocating the harness below the sheet metal then why would I need to cut anything? It is already as long as it needs to be. Right? All I would need to do is either create a hole large enough to squeeze the terminal through or take the terminals apart. I did a little of both.
The hole in the fender was drilled just forward of Steve's position on the vertical surface just before the fender begins to crown. I was able to put in a 1" hole but ended up making it more of an ellipticle shape before it was over. For a size reference look at your largest plug and turn it sideways -- it ends up being about 1 x 1 1/2. If that makes you a little nervous then you can still opt for disassembling the terminal ($5 tool at NAPA - looks like a small screwdriver) and still use the 1" hole per Poltergeist's write up.
I still went about using the velcro to secure it to the top of the fender and made sure everything was taped and secured properly. The only cutting that I had to do were the two 'twisted' wires that have no connections to negotiate. Cut, crimped, heat shrinked those two. Reinstalled wheel liner, cleaned up all the new space on the fender and it's done .
I'm sure pics would be more helpful and I'll try to get some up. Email me if you're interested and I'll do what I can before she goes to the dealer for a new rear.
I love it when an innovation is improved upon and carried to the "next level" its what this hobby is all about..

Oh, and the rest of the mods look great too.. watch out because it can be addictive
nice job, I might have to try this sometime when I get bored, or just want to go work on my car.
LPE SS , pics would be nice if you could, the "cut-less" method sounds much better for us "electrically challenged"........

....I'll try tonight. She's headed to the dreaded DEALER tomorrow (via flatbed ) to get the rear end looked at. Ironic though isn't it? I need to change a couple things so that it appears, uhhhh......stock? This ought to be fun! I can already hear all the questions. What's this? What's that? Where in the hell did that go? LMAO!!!

Why I was at it, I also relocated the ground wire on that wheel well to the hole where the inner fender well screws in right behind the battery.
Unfortunatly I don't have any pics. The relativly large holes really can't be seen since I left the tubing on the wires.
