I like how they added the suede interior pieces, cant say i like what they did with the exterior, car looks even worse then before, wish they had done a closer retro like the challenger... motor looks awesome in there though. cant stand the hood, looking forward to the redesign of the car as it just looks way too bloated.

For everyone harping about it not being a Z28 . Chevy actually did the right thing and didnt sell out . There was a live web chat with 2 members of the Camaro engineering team and when the Z28 came up, they stated they are fully aware of how the Z28 was a direct competitor to the boss 302 back in the day . They followed that up by saying " stay tuned" . They didnt elaborate beyond that.
I think ZL1 was the right name for this GT500 competitor . Save the Z28 for a more track oriented car like it orginally was back in the 60's and early 70's . There never really "technincally" was a Camaro ZL1 . The ZL1 was only the option code for the aluminum 427 BB . The ZL1 could also could be had in a 69 corvette .
Hmmm , a fifth gen I actually love ....nice job GM .

Might want to look up the history of the Camaro. The Z28 was the better/faster car in the 1st Gens. Like someone else mentioned, the SS wasnt any better untill SLP got ahold of them on the 4th Gens. Even then they really werent any better, other then appearance wise.

The "Z28" name was pure speculation from everyone at Camaro5.com forums. GM never gave the car an official name untill this autoshow. However GM did throw out the "HP Edition" name for a while, i guess just to keep ppl speculating and interested in the car.

The car wont be out untill 2012, yeaa i said 2012 lol Not late this year but in 2012. According to GM, production on this car starts in Jan. 2012. Yet they promise this car to be in dealer lots early 2012?? Im a little lost with that still.... Price info wont be untill the 4th quarter of this year. So basically, you got to see a car that isnt even in production yet (unless their bullshitting on this and its already being produced), wont be out for another year and no pricing info for months......how great!!

The rear end is the best part of this car. The (quad) driving light with the fog light combination along with the suede interior are the only things that are negative to me. Maybe replace the driving light with a vent or put a bigger fog light in place of the two lights? I'd much rather have leather in place of all the suede for sure. Despite those two things, I will still buy it.
Anyone know if the GM employee discount will be available on this vehicle?
