Best headlight polish?
Hey guys, I recently cut the factory alignment ***** off my headlights and wetsanded and buffed them. The outside looks amazing but now I can see the imperfections on the inside of the lens. So know I'm going to separate the lens from the housing and do the whistler mod. It looks a little hard to get the buffer on them so I was wondering if anybody has used a polish that would take care of the light imperfections?? Any input is appreciated.
Thanks, Colin

PlastX.. Or maybe some of the paint buffing compound. Try wet-sanding? Cloth wheel with the brown sticks?
The cloth wheel on a bench grinder worked WONDERS on mine after I wet-sanded them.

I would wet sand the inside of the lens but I'm afraid that I wont be able to buff the whole inside with a 10 inch. Thats why I'm thinking about trying to get all the imperfections out with a hand polish.

^I was wondering if that would help keep them from going bad faster, did you do that to yours? I wet sanded mine 2 years ago and it was a bitch cause i didnt have a drill and all so it was by hand and they looked damn good. Now i gotta do it again...

^ Yeah mine are sprayed with clear. I wet sanded mine, polish em up, let the polish hang on the for a week to a week and a half, and took em out and sprayed them with some clear coat. Mine could look better but being the lazy *** I was when I did them, I said it would be good enough, lol.

Some ******* at my school put a note on my car saying he restores headlights for 50 bucks. Guess he's just trying to make some ends but gotta hate it sorta a backhanded complement/suggestion haha.. They are pretty bad though.. If a clear coat is help keeping them from oxidizing sooner 9white I may just do that..
