Sorry for the separate threads, I should have just posted one big thread about the hood but I've got another question/idea....


I've seen guys mount gauges in their cowl hoods so you can see them while driving. I always thought it looked pretty sweet. On the Harwood hood I'm buying, the cowl comes closed off, non functional. Should I have it cut open or leave it closed? I'm not sure if I'm going to do the gauge thing yet, but it seems pointless to have a non functional cowl hood. But then will water and stuff get in?

 

I have mine cut open. It helps with temps while sitting.

Water? Well that is not an option I don't even have wipers on the car.

 

Mine came solid also but i cut it out. I have no problems with water or anything else for that matter. And it looks so much better cut out while sitting in the car.

 

I would say cut it open for sure!

 

I dont see why you would leave it closed

 

I have been dd mine with the cowl cut open and no problems with the rain, I say cut it open.
