It was a little more difficult than I expected...my wife decided she wanted to go to bed early, so I was left trying to do this while keeping my doberman puppy from eating the house. At least I got the information posted...I'll assess the house damage in the morning.

Alpine iDA-x305: I really like it. All my music is on my iPod, so it works great for me. There are some that don't like that it doesn't have a CD slot, but so far, that has never been an issue for me. I tend to listen to a lot of different music from a lot of different artists, so even a CD changer didn't really do it for me.

Valentine One: I've had that radar detector for years, and have been using that remote display for almost as long. It has saved me on many occasions, although I find not speeding altogether a little less stressful than keeping an eye on the detector. When I'm in a big hurry, though, it does give me some peace of mind.

The weatherpack connectors and crimping tool I got from Pegasus Auto Racing - it isn't the cheapest, but they are less expensive than metri-pack stuff, and work great for me. I've used them everywhere since I got the crimping tool and supplies to make them, so for me, it has been worth the up front expense.

I'll see if I can get pictures of the driver's side panel tonight, but I'm playing referee at the moment:

Are we not talking about your 4th gens? You should have a dome light, as well as map lights...

I think depending on your application, the objective is not to see the actual bulbs, but just the glow.

And yes, in the end...do what you wanna do.

LOL, Steve I knew that was my thread that you quoted from. I STILL haven't done this yet, but i'm definitely doing it on the new Bird. Quick question, where do you get that little clip (male harness) so I don't have to ghetto rig it with butt connectors?

Thanks!

I made the connectors myself - Pegasus Auto Racing sells the crimp tool and all the supplies to make them. Not cheap to do, but they work well, and in the event that you use them in the engine bay like I've also done, they are essentially weather-proof.

Do you not have a Rear View and a Dome light?

I replaced all my lights with LEDs and that really did the trick as far as getting more light in the car when its dark. However I think the foot lights look great, I would do them for sure.

I think there is a fundamental problem here... my car is a t-top car and I have a dome light... So either yours is domeless for some reason, or your ignoring a blown bulb because you want an excuse to put some dope neons in.

Personally, (even though the last 20 people gave you a thumbs up), given the two possible cases, I would either replace the bulb, with an LED if you like... or install a dome light yourself.

Theres a rear hatch light, and the mirror lights. I would be able to tell if any bulb was blown out and I wouldn't ignore it.

On Topic:

I'm probably going to install the lights tonight (easier to adjust them when they're clear to see), and ill try to snap a quick pic or two.
