Ricey or In good taste?

Just installed them, and they look decent to me. I wouldn't call it "ricey" at all since its not like overpowering the entire interior and stuff.
But you be the judge.
(Should have taken the pix with the car started and the gauges lit up)

The ones I bought from Pepboy's came with (2) 12'' light strips that had a 3M adhesive so I didn't have to drill out the dash. I put my driver side stripe in the same location as MEENTS did (that track) so you can't even see it unless your face is on the floor. Its on a switch temporarily until the batteries run out, and then Im going to wire it up to my ignition, so they come on when the cars on.

still off topic: do you use pandora on it steve? its all i use but i use it like 80% of my life lol
on topic: ive changed all my other interior lights to leds (bright white) and i think this would still add a lot of light and do it tastefully. but i do agree that in most cases bulbs shouldnt show

I've never used Pandora, but I really don't know much about it. I've heard some people at work talk about it, but that's about the extent of my experience.
I, too, changed all my other interior lights to LEDs, so everything now matches. I even got a little creative with the door switch lights to make sure they were the same color, but without the light intensity issues that the wave guides in the doors create when using something other than an incandescent bulb. I've spent many hours and lots of $$$ getting everything to look like it came that way stock.

If you look closely, you can see my footwells lit with white LEDs (same color as the rest of the interior lights) - they are wired to the interior lights, so they come on when you open the door, etc. I got the idea after driving a C6 Corvette for a week. I was very pleased with how it turned out.

I used the 'AM series Miniature accent light' from superbrightleds.com. Removed the light from my ash tray and used those wires to tap into This way I have them all wired to a single location thats easy to get to if I need to get to them.. Very straightforward and clean install. They come with a good adhesive backing so nno drilling or anything required and they're easily hidden from sight. I dont have my camera with me, but I'l see if I can snap some pics with my phone

Three prong would be similar, I did one once, I used one prong for power, one for ground and one for the lights.

And since this thread is already back from the dead. Where do the connectors Meent has crimped onto the led bars plug into or did I miss something? I understand the spade connector to the 12 volt fuse panel slot and I somewhat get the tapping the courtesy wire going to the BCM I'll lo0ok more into that in a minute. But I'm not getting the connector idea. It looks clean which is why I ask.

I did this to my first car, a blue 91 Camaro RS. As cheesy as it might be, I loved it as a teenager and my friends did too. Kits weren't as widely available then, so I used a strip that was intended to go on the side of a truck. It was sort of rubbery and had chrome ends on it. Anyway, I tucked them under the dash out of sight and had a nice blue mood lighting at the flick of a switch. I thought the car and I were awesome...lol.
