ws6 hood original or after market
hi, im new to this board as a member but ive been reading post for months, anyway i want to get a ws6 hood ive heard horror stories about the fitment and finish of the suncoast and ascd hoods but the dealer wants about twice the price of the aftermarket for a factory, my question is should i just go try to locate a factory ws6 hood or buy an aftermarket from suncoast or ascd and use the extra $$$ to get a body shop to get the aftermarket to look more like a factory hood in quality terms since they look like crap from straight from these companies

If you can get a factory hood, get it. When you get an aftermarket hood, it's a hit or miss if it fits properly. I was going to get a Suncoast hood, but I got lucky and found a factory hood for $900. Look in the classified section, I think I saw one for sale a couple of weeks ago or check out EBay. Seen them on there before.

I bought a used Suncoast hood and the hood fit perfectly with no problems at all....In fact there is a couple other people that live in this area also who bought from Suncoast and didn't have any problems either..

I have a SLP ram air h.o. hood and it fit great. It's not a WS6 hood, but I really like the look.
