side molding....
I was just curious if anyone has removed the side molding from their Firebird or TA. I would like to see some pictures to see how it looks or if you can even tell a difference. Any info would be appreciated. TIA

Re: side molding....
I have and its a much much cleaner look it gives it an extra curve on the door that looks awesome especially if you have white car cuz the moldings tend to yellow no matter how many times you bleach white em My car

That is an awesome looking car. And it does look great without the side pieces. I have a red 97 TA and I am still trying to decide if I want to remove them or not.

Re: side molding....
Just do it. It looks so much better.
I was reluctant in deciding to do mine because of the idea that the molding protects the car in parking lots...
Then I examined my car and thought about it, all my parking lot marks are above the molding. They do very little since the car is low and most 'cars' today are trucks and minivans.
I will be removing mine when it warms up. I am a fairly paranoid parker, I will just become a tiny bit more paranoid.

I took mine off, its looks great. You realize how cheap and junky the moldings are once they are off, and since the door has natural lines in it, you are not taking away from the curves of the car

Re: side molding....
Thanks for all the replies, especially the pic from MOBE, since my car is red, it helped a lot with my decision to go ahead and remove them. Thanks everyone!

All I did was heat it up with a hair dryer and pull. What ever was left I removed with some WD-40, then soap and water. After that I hit it with some Zaino. Fairly simple.
BTW, I fixed the link to the "After" closeup.
