speaking of stripes...
That old thread reminded me of something I had thought about doing once... Does anyone want to try to photoshop this idea for me or even just opinions are welcome? Just the usual suspect, 35th anniversary TA stripes on my car, but without the pheonix on the hood, just the stripe part (I'm sure it's easy enough to trim off the kit lol)
Here's a few pics I came across of the stock kit on yellow of course..
Charcoal will be my color of choice IF I go through with it, and black for the formula lettering, pontiac fill-ins, and front bird.
I think this is a good candidate for angle, just mirrored We'll see I guess haha plenty of angles to pick from in my photobucket if someone wants to give it a shot and doesn't feel thats close enough

i love your car as is man, but if you were gonna put stripes i would do the hood stripes, the ones on the side of the car dont look right to me.... but you cant get the true look of these stripes without the ones on the side so if you like it just go for it!

Gorgeous car, I LOVE that color!!
IMO those 35th stripes are ugly. I think I'm one of the few that can't stand the looks of a CETA. I'd much rather have a 30th aniv.
How about 30th stripes in black, or satin black, with a matching front plate overlay and rear fill ins?
Or even the camaro 35th checkered flag style stripes? Those look nice too on Birds.
Honestly I think your car looks great as is, the only glaring fault is the wheels. IMO these cars need at LEAST a 17" wheel to look right.
And removing the side moldings and emblems wouldn't hurt either.

WOW... how well do you know me? LOL. Those C6Z wheels are almost exactly what I am thinking of changing to, but with a polished lip to break up the black. Definitely feelin how those stripes laid out as well (less the white stripe in the center ) ! I'll have to give this a shot over the summer, and hopefully soon can throw some wheels on it.. tough call between C6Zs and TTMs either way will be black w/ polished edge deep dish. 17 front 18 rear.
And thanks for the compliments everyone, and sorry the door molding isn't going anywhere, didn't have one on my Z and a friend opened the door into another car and ended up knocking a good half dollar sized chunk out of my door ';..;' and paint matching pearls can be done, but definitely isn't easy or cheap!
