i removed all the emblems on my Z28 and in the rear you can see where the bowtie emblem was bc the paint is perfect and around it is a little distorted and weathered. It is a bigger decision than you would think if the paint is ten times better underneath compared to the rest

The only thing I would foresee is if that white paint if not regularly clayed and buffed will yellow a little cause a difference in the brightness between the paint under the trim and the rest of the car. Worst case figure on claying your car and buffing it after removing the trim. Probably wouldnt be a bad idea either way though.

I did my 99 TA last summer with about 68k and had no issues at all. Looks so much better! Worst case, you could always 3m them back on...
