Default Problems with tuner nuts

I bought a set of Konig Appeals for my '02 Hawk - the bolt pattern that fits an F-body only takes tuner nuts, which is fine. Problem is, in the rear the wheel bolts are quite a bit longer than those in the front meaning that the key can't go into the nut very far, making installation/removal a real PITA.

Question 1) Can I get longer tuner nuts? The ones I got are 12mmx1.5 and are 1.25" long.

Question 2) If I can't get longer nuts, has anyone ever tried getting shorter wheel bolts for the rear?

Here is a tuner lug nut:

I got a set of ADR Sterling wheels that looked like they needed tuner nuts because the lug holes are VERY deep:

but the chrome lug nuts I had my Fikse wheels mounted with worked fine. I had to use a deep barrel socket and extension to put them on, but they worked. I just can't use a lug wrench to R/R my lug nuts now.

There are 2 bolt patterns on the rim (ie: 2 sets of holes) - one set that accepts tuner nuts and the other that accepts the regular nuts (lug nuts? acorn nuts?), the difference being that the tuner nut holes are smaller in diameter.

That being said, I was told by the tire shop that the regular nut pattern was different than the tuner nut pattern and that only the tuner nuts would work on my car. I've never actually measured to verify this, but this shop is fairly reputable in town so I simply trusted them. Really, fitting a wheel onto 5 bolts isn't rocket science, but I guess I should double-check....

Yep, the tuner nut pattern is the only one that'll fit. The other pattern is 5x4.25", and the F-body takes a 5x4.5".

So no one's seen/heard of longer tuner nuts?

I've heard of tuner nuts. It would be a bitch to strip one, have fun getting it off if you do that.
