Default Lug Nut Caps...

Washed the car, and you'll see that doing a rush job didn't do much for my rims, but that's not the point of this thread.

Been looking into getting black lug nuts for my new rims, but am afraid of chipping paint and being out a good chunk of cash for them.
Took an alternate route-
Before:
Basically, the caps stood out like a sore, faded thumb. Only time they matched was when the wheels were filthy and everything was the same colored gray/brown.

Test:
Tested out the paint last night...
Stock vs Painted

After:
Even though the rims are still a little dirty, and my phone doesn't quite capture the colors correctly, the caps match beautifully, especially with the gloss of the centercap.

For lolz:
My "paint booth".

Krylon Fusion for Plastic Gloss Black Paint.
Dries in 15 minutes. No need for sanding/primer.

Yeah when i take off wheels and put back on, i might lose one or two after a drive. The caps seem to have a natural instinct to fly.

Thanks guys, I agree, they came out great. The high gloss paint is so smooth to the touch too.

No, but I've got a problem with everytime I go to a tire shop or something they lose a cap.
I'm missing 2 caps, and one of the caps doesn't match the others for some reason. Last summer I JUST replaced them with a complete set that all matched, so this is starting to annoy me.

I didn't unfortunately. However, I had significant amounts of black paint residue in my nostrils/nose hair.
