Default Harwood SS Hood

I saw the SS Style Hood on the Jegs Magazine its for a 98-02 Camaro. The price is for $424.99 i was wondering how good are the Harwood Hoods compared to the others that are priced around $700.00 Dollars such as suncoast creations SS hood i know the suncoast creation hood is functional does anyone know if the Harwood is functional. The Harwood Hood is Fiberglass and have a fully finished underside.

The Harwood hoods are great, I havea friend who has one and has never had any complaints. Thats not a bad price. I know that Sun Coast Creations are kinda pricy, but the quality of both hoods are very nice. I'm not sure if the Harwood hood is functional or not, They should make one that is and isn't.

2000SS (Wayne) has one. I helped him put it on. The fit is pretty good, but the hood latch wouldn't lock. The bolt holes were off just a little too much. Also the hood was just a hair off with the fenders, not that much though.

The hood is also thinner and weighs alot less than his steel Z28 hood, I mean the Harwood hood felt like 5lbs. The bad thing about that is when he pulls the hood down the hood-shocks are too strong and the hood was "bowing."
The hood-shocks part number on his 2000 Z28 are the same as my 2001 SS. But he just pulls the hood down by the latch real carefull like.

The ram air is functional, but there are no drain holes for water like my hood has.

All in all the hood looks good and the price is nice.

Peace,
Craig.

I have a SS style Harwood Hood and it looks great. Futhermore, we didn't have any problems and it is way lighter than the $700 hoods.

I thought Harwood stopped making these hoods, am I wrong? I also thought they were pin-on (lift-off) only?

Harwood makes ram air and ss style bolt on hoods. Prices aren't bad either.
