Yup! I remember when i switched out how much better leds were. Now im just used to them i guess

 

I converted all of my lights to LEDs inside and out and changed the headlights high AND low beams to HID's it is sooooooo much better here are pics of the outside LED mods havent taken any interior pics but I will soon!

 

Oh yea and my front turn signals are switchbacks the mack daddy of LEDs because as you can see from the two diffrent front shots in one pic they are orange color (turn indicator) and another pic they are hyper white (driving mode) this impresses everyone! So my advice is if your gonna get LEDs do it right and get them outside and inside : )

Well I already have an LED board back there but I noticed some LEDs went out and I know its downhill from here for that board so I was looking for a replacement.

 

No write up needed. Look for the same bulb size as whatever you want converted to LEDs and then buy that bulb in LED form. I hope that makes sense.

for example, you want a 194 bulb for your glove box ? go to a website were you can buy LED bulbs and look for that type. Theres many configurations. Like 3 LEDs per bulb, 6,9,12, and so on.

 

Whats the bulb size for the Rear Mirror map lights ?

Is it a 194 also ?

Depends on the year and what you drive (Camaro,TA, Firebird) its either going to be the 194 (TA) or its going to be the festoon tube bulbs. If you look on the thread (Bulb to LED List) You will have EVERYTHING you need to know there. Just do a search.

 

This thread made me want some! So I just ordered mine from superbrightleds.com. I got a license place light, MAP, and Dome lights. Can't wait until they get here!

 

Yea simple plug and play. I got some red leds in my map and rears as accent lights (to match the other red accents on my car). The red doesnt produce much usable light though, might have to swap them out for pure whites soon.

 

I've done mine a little while ago , they arent the brightest , but I didnt go for the brightest look anyway , they are 3 led bulbs .. next will be led strips as courtesy lights ..

what site for the LEDs and what specific LEDs for the map lights, dome lights, and are there LEDs for the lights in the door to light on the switches?

 

What bulbs would I use on our 01 T/A's?

 

I had white LEDs in my old 95 V6 Firebird, and they were very dim. It wasn't enough light for me. What's a good bulb for the front and rear?

 

I used rl4410 for my rear seat lights (convertible btw)
and 212-2 for the map lights .. If Im not mistaken , there was a difference in map lights for the 00-02 cars ..
superbrightleds are pretty good , door lights are also listed somewhere around here , search for them .. or just get prewired leds from ebay and use them instead ..

 

Meh, my mom's 2010 GTI has foot well lights but I always turn them off! They're kind of distracting almost.

 

what were the part numbers or whatevr there called on these, because those are the ones im looking to replace also

 

this is a dumb question... but are the map lights the one in the interior mirror?(whatever that mirror is called )
