Cool Aftermarket Steering Wheel.. CHECK IT

Alright guys. Couple things. First I really like the look of just about every aftermarket steering wheel over the overweight, big useless button filled one that came stock SO, ive been tossing around the idea of an aftermarket. I found this style which I like. Its new looking and much cleaner, but not something that looks like its straight out of Tokyo Drift.

OK so would this wheel work in a 00 TA? and what would it take to make it work? Also, notice that this wheel cost 300+.. Now take a look at this wheel, and tell me what's different, other than the price and logo?...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...Q5fAccessories

Thanks for the input!

it will definitely work, the MOMO, with Hub adapter. You are looking for part number 2401 I believe, GM steering wheel HUB. if that is the one that comes with the auction then you are set. Im in the market as well... check this out.. https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...l-install.html Im going with the Isotta Evoluzione... black leather.. verging on rice, but classy, and i love the D style bottom of it, Im 6'2"... keeps it off my legs! good luck and hope that helps.

what about the one that looks just like the momo, except it isn't a momo one, and cost 250 dollars less.. would it work with the momo hub adapter?

Momo adapter should work with any 6 bolt steering wheel. I used a momo adapter with a Grant wheel. No issues at all. Grant also makes an adapter that works but I can't remember the part number. It will require a little trimming of the plastic around the steering column. I also recommend removing the clockspring. This is a mod you will be happy you did. Makes the interior look 100 times better.

I would NOT get the Momo hub adapter. I used the NRG slim adapter and love it. You have to remove the clock spring, but it looks and works great.

Its the thing in there that the wires for the airbag and steering wheel controls go through. I never said there were any issues with the MOMO adapter. The NRG is just much nicer.

Ok I see that the NRG hub is made "slim" so that it works well with the quick release.. do you use the quick release with yours? or just the hub? Also, got any pics of your setup in the car?

Yea, just don't make the same mistake I made and get the slim hub as well. They didn't say it doesn't work together...but it doesn't. I have yet to get another. I got the slim hub and slim quick release to try and keep the wheel as far away as possible. I didn't want it right up in my face. I might not even get a quick release cause I like where the steering wheel is as is. They don't list one particularly for 4th gens I don't think, but a little digging and I found that the one I think they list for the 1st gens would possibly fit, so I took a shot. I think the box listed it for Dodge cars. I don't have any of the hub itself, just the wheel from my perspective. I'll try and find them later.

OK you lost me. I guess I can't read lol. but to me, it looks like you said "dont get the slim hub", then said "i got the slim hub", and "it doesn't work with the slim hub", but then "I got the slim hub and slim quick release"... lol

Basically, what do I need to buy to make this wheel work

I used the NRG slim hub and the regular (not slim) NRG quick release with my Momo millennium wheel. Works fine... but it's not in my Trans Am so I don't know how relevant that is.

You were asking about it being made slim for using a quick release hub. I was saying, don't make the same mistake I did and get the slim hub and the slim quick release; they don't work together. I was trying to keep the wheel as far away from me as possible, so I went with the slim hub AND slim quick release. NRG doesn't tell you they won't work together. If you get a quick release, just get a normal one.

Do you have any pictures? I was thinking of using an NRG adapter as well when I change steering wheels
