Cool S2000 seat swap! (Pics)

First of all, special thanks to Jason (ssjason232) for really doing all of the work. He did a great job modifying the rails and it was an easy swap for me to do. I believe he is going to post a complete write up about the modifications.

I am very happy with how this turned out. These seats are waaaaaaay nicer than the stock, ugly, cloth ones that I had before...and much more comfortable I might add. THere are the pics:

Now I need to find some leather rears Thanks for lookin!

+1. And if they're lower, how did the OP manage to do it?

The rails had to be modified as they are wider than the camaro rails. The S2000 seat belt guides dont work since they are designed for convertables, so I had to use the Camaro guides. I just drilled new holes to make them work

It seems that the sit about the same height as stock. I cant really tell a difference as far as that goes. Jason did a good job with keeping that similar when he modded the rails

Another thing I like is how the seat belt feels now. Before, it rode a little high, but now it lays right over top of the shoulder instead of choking me like before lol

Greg is an awesome dude. very patient with me modifying the rails for him. Im super giddy, kinda like a kid at christmas to see them in his car, especially knowing that i mocked them up without his car here.

Greg is also spot on about the seat belt, its in a much nicer spot on the s2k seats.

I took detailed pics when i made his seat rails, once i get some free time, i plan to do a whole write up on how i did it.

Gotta say thanks to Greg. I didnt charge him anything to modify the rails, but he did cover all the shipping, made it super easy with prepaid labels, and he covered the cost of the materials, $30 to my welding friend, and the cost of a unibit and some metal over runs I ran into. hes a stand up guy, glad hes part of the S2k seat club. Super patient too, b/c it took me almost 2 months to get them together with the **** weather we had here over the last few months. Cant say how happy i am they worked out for him.

Here is a pic of how I did my mount for the seat belt guide. you can see that i modified the guide and cut the ear off of it, then counter sunk the holes, and put some longer allen head bolts in. (this is especially for Greg, I sent him a template and some leather, so Greg, do this and you'll be real happy)

excuse the shitty looking guide, it was a gray one i used as a mock up and i painted it. got new ebony ones on since this pic.

Here some random pics of the work i did while installing them, once again, full write up to come.

these are the stock "feet" that are cut off and used to modify the drivers side rails. these are used on as the rear mounts.

me grinding off stock "feet"

passenger side, these are the hardest to fabricate.

this is the passenger side rail i mocked up for greg in my car.

this is what it all started from.

I made Greg's a little different, on mine i welded in two new studs, I modified Greg's to fit the stock mounting locations.

beginning stages of passenger side mock up. pre welding.

You just drilled new holes? are they sturdy there? I need to figure out my seatbelt guide plans, but I am not sure about drilling holes. I don't think there is anything on the other side to latch on to properly.
