I've always been under the impression that the oils in armor all will dry rot your tires.

^Heard that too. Especially regarding interior vinyl/plastics.
But the OP is referring to this vid:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlO3d...layer_embedded
And it looks like amazing stuff. I'd like to try it too but want to know if others have tried it and post their opinions first.

Some guys on other sites have tried it. Appears to work as advertised but not for very long. Others reported issues with it looking hazy/oily/smudgy on chrome, high polish, and other high gloss finishes to the point that it made the wheels look dirty. As a matter of competitive testing I tried some... on my painted black wheels it left a rainbow/oily effect... kind of like oil stains in a parking lot puddle after rain. Stripped it off and that was that, didn't bother doing durability tests b/c of how it looked.

I know the eagleone stuff sucks, its like a white film,I tried it on my work truck first and I'm glad I did,I tend to stay away from stuff like this, used zoop seal before and that stuff worked really well, cuts down on polishing that's for sure

I use it on my black c6 z06 wheels and I have the same problem, but the brake dust does stay off the wheels for a longer time so I continue to use it.

I've got black wheels, and they look grungy/dirty with the brake dust almost instantly after washing.
You don't happen to offer a comparable product, do you?

if a company needs to spam a forum as a method of advertisement, it's not for me

How is it spamming? It's just like a regular post. You can choose to view it or not. It's not nearly as bad as pop-up ads, or the banner ads that litter this site.

armor all is a bad word at the body shop where i work .. because it contains silicone
and that causes paint to "fisheye".

Sounds like it does the job but has side effects.

I have a can of the stuff. Haven't used it yet though, only picked it up to see if it was any better than my PBW Wheel Sealant. I've got silver painted wheels, so I'll report back here when I get my next day off and can detail my car.

It's terrible, you're better off with a good spray wax if you're going for ease of use vs. protection...

I was curious about this stuff too. So I coated half a front wheel before I went to bed and let it dry over night. Drove it for a week after that. Too my surprise the coated side was very noticeably cleaner vs the non coated side. It repelled brake dust and dirt. Stuff works awesome IMO. I buy a can of it ever two weeks
