I'm currently in the market for a center console lid for my 98 ws6. I've looked alot on ebay and online, and I keep seeing "97-02 camaro/firebird", were the center console lids exactly the same for both of them? anything I need to watch out for on these?

yea i think it had something to do with the colors as well. not 100% on that though.

I am 99 percent positive 97-99 and 00-02 are a different color. Also I have seen gray buttons instead of black installed. Pretty sure that's a Pontiac/Chevy difference though.

Chevy had the black buttons while Pontiac had the gray.

Do you mean the Armrest or the whole center console?

Since it's for a 98, I've got some bad news for you as I have a 99 with the same dark gray interior.

About 99% of the interior components in this color have since been discontinued. You'd be hard pressed to find a brand new piece from GM or another OEM supplier, and if it is the armrest, it's long gone

PLEASE-If you find a brand new, gray arm rest, please let me know!

just the armrest/lid part. I really don't expect to find one brand new, just not in as bad shape as the one i have. It's warped soo bad that even if the button wasn't broken off it wouldn't close
