Re: Paint bubbling on roof of car...
Please post it, I'm fighting with GM about this right now on my wife's car.
The Zone Rep had 2 chances to get in contact with me and never did, now it goes to his supervisor. I'm not getting my hopes up, but if they do not offer to repair it I'm bringing both mine and my wifes CAMARO's to the dealer where they were purchased and burn them to the ground and go buy 2 new 03 supercharged Cobra's.
BTW my wifes car has flawless paint except where the paint is bubbling, it only comes out of the garage 1-2 days a week if that(my wife works at home)
I know this is going to be an uphill battle!

Re: Paint bubbling on roof of car...
I scanned in the 4 page bulletin on as 4 seperate jpeg files. I don't have any way to post or host them. Is there anyone in here that I can email these to, and they can put them up. They are full size pics ready to be printed.

open up the cars album & look at the pics labled bubbles. It's kind of hard to capture on a black car, but u'll be able to make it out. remeber this just started out for me. From what others have said, it can be really bad.

Re: Paint bubbling on roof of car...
OK, The ******* zone rep still hasn't called me, so I had to call GM again. The supervisor is supposed to call me back tomorrow @ 10.30. The ******* on the other end of the phone wasn't too happy after I told him I had a copy of the TSB, I guess they aren't used to dealing with someone who has at least half a brain!
If I don't get a call or a positive resolution by the end of the day tomorrow I'm taking my case to the local news station to blast GM all over television land
Even if they do warranty it GM can still kiss my ******' *** for all of the bullshit I have to go through to get it straightened out!
I'll post my results tomorrow!

Re: Paint bubbling on roof of car...
Well after a month the GM Rep finally called the dealer and refused to pay for it!
I will never buy a new or used GM vehicle again and the 2 F-bodies that my Wife and I own will be sold once we move into our new house in May of next year, I'll get the wife a nice Benz and a Busa for myself.
**** YOU GM!!!!
Another UNsatisfied GM customer to add to the list! GM

Re: Paint bubbling on roof of car...
They did the replacment roof for me on my 2000 SS even though I am far out of warranty. They had to get the area managers say so first but said since I had a lot of history with them and that every time I had a problem I brought to them exclusively (I am very picky) that they would now be loyal to me even though i have 48K on the car.
I am very pleased with this dealership. It is Michael Holley Chevrolet in Lakeland FL.

Re: Paint bubbling on roof of car...
The thing that pisses me off is that my Wifes car (the one with the problem) is a 99 and has only 31K miles, still has the new car smell and is garage kept since new and only comes out of the garage 1 or 2 days a week at the most there's not even a bug mark in the paint.
It's funny how GM releases a TSB over a year after the car is out of production. It's just another way of exposing a QC flaw and not calling it a recall.
These are the last 2 GM cars that my wife and I will ever own! No more GM for me!

Re: Paint bubbling on roof of car...
No. The TSB will repair the problem for free only if you are in warranty. Otherwiseyou have to pay for the repair.
