Default New engine bay idea

So I got tired of seeing the wires, cables, battery, fuseboxes, ect. under the hood of my car....as usual when I get a new car. I decided to try something different this time. I put the fuses down in the hole, relocated the battery to the trunk, shaved the LT1 fuel line hump, and made some covers. What do you guys think?

I LOVE it!! Could you pm me some more info on this? I would love to do that to mine over the summer... would also make painting the engine bay black MUCH easier LOL. I've been planning to relocate the battery anyways, what all does that involve? and y'know everything else? hah.. write-up?

Thumbs up

Wow that looks great. It does make it look a lot cleaner in there. It also shows you how compact our engine bay is, looks like there is no room at all. I would love to do something like that.

Wow....Thanks guys. Didn't think I would get this kind of reception with this.

As far as a write up goes I'm horrible at making them where its easy to understand. Long and short of it is I used some cardboard to make the initial pattern. Then I got some 22GA steel from your local "mega hardware store" and rolled them till I had the right bend. I then trimmed them accordingaly, put a screw in the top corner near the fender and that's that.

Future plans do include a coil relocation, new painted intake, smoothed valve covers, and what ever else I can do to make it look super clean under there.

I'll take some more shots soon once the weather allows. Looks we may actually get some rain in San Antonio for the first time in over 3 months.

Oh...Yes I took the washer box off. It was useless on my car and was ugly to boot.

You should've known better than that, everyone around here loves the "simple, clean" look anywhere they can get it lol. how hard was it to "roll" the steel to the right bend? Is it something that requires a specific tool?

I actually rolled it over my old stock Y pipe I have laying around. The bending took some time but by going slow and gradually bending I got it right without any creases. Here are some more shots.
