Default Latest little project

Here's the latest project I did for my car. I wanted to paint the plastic bezel that goes around the instrument cluster and dash. I always thought painting the whole bezel looked odd so I cut it into two pieces. Here are the pics

As you can see it's not done yet, waiting for better weather to finish the painting

I'll be honest, I think you should wrap the rest of the bezel then I think it would look pretty freakin good. Props man for trying something different.

I actually really like it, breaks it up a bit. It's not just a big piece of plastic anymore, actually looks like a bezel. Not sure about painting it, but it looks good now.

Its not bad, I would try wrapping the other piece. If not then maybe try to extend the plastic back some on it or smooth it out because you can tell where it was cut and it looks like it doesn't fit/belong there next to that nice piece you wrapped.

Maybe if the wrapped part overlapped that piece a bit better.

Props for trying to improve it.

The stiching in that picture makes it look like a gap, in person it sits tight and flush. My top piece on my center consol is gloss black and I really like the look of it so I wanted to paint the bezel as well. If I don't like it or get old of it I will probably go the wrapping route. It would be a PITA to do myself, I wanted to keep it simple.

Here's the latest update. I made the side vent piece fit a little more flush, it will look a lot better when I wrap the dash. I also painted and polished the bezel gloss black.

That looks really nice. I like that you wrapped the side one and painted the main one. A wrapped two tone look wouldve also looked nice but maybe not as nice as it does now.

That looks pretty awesome. The bezel would look good wrapped in carbon fiber.

Thanks everyone. If I could find a second one cheap I would pick it up and try a wrapped version.

I think a set of chrome A/C vent rings from 6LE would match your cobalt gauges really well
