Well jeanie beat me to it but yeah you have to adjust the latch for this hood. Mine had to be pushed up as high as it would go.

Hopefully mine goes to paint next week, I'm just waiting on my painter to finish up a project in california.

Also when modifying the catch release you will have to cut off a lot more than is shown in the picture unless you bend it straight to a 90 degree angle. They say it doesn't need to be bent.... but straightening it out to a 90 degree angle makes it work much better.

Ok, so I just went and made another video for those who care to see it. I corrected a couple of things I said in the last one. I was going to delete my initial video but figured it would be better left alone..

yea yea, i know... My car is dirty..

Until VFN posts it on their website it will only be common on ls1 tech. And even then it still won't get all that common... it's too aggressive or importy for most of the people here that want a clean factory look.

Thank you for making that video. I've done a ton of mechanical stuff to my car, but never a hood. I have a good idea of whats involved now.

Thanks. I think I might pull the trigger on this hood purchase now.

I already knew I was going to get one. And quite frankly it didn't help with all this WSQ ****. I told my self I at least had to sell one of my hoods. But unfortunately I said to hell with this **** and pulled the trigger Friday. At this rate ill never get the t-trim installed. First the CB Diff and now this.lmao

Glad you all are enjoying your hoods. Here's a couple old photos so they're archived with this thread.

Since this thread is about the WSQ. Thought I would share just a pic. Picked up from the VFN and installed by VFN.

Weeeww! Black, black, black, red, and pewter. Hopefully we get some more color variety in these. Heero you should paint wing zero there white with red, blue, and gold accents.

LOL! I never really thought of that till you said that. Name and color are completely off. When I first registered on here not too long ago. I was definitely into Gundam more then, then I am now. Pretty much sold all the kit models that I had put together and painted. Hmm...time for a name change.lol

I think this just looks terrible, perhaps i'm missing some of the charm because of the chicken wire looking grills, or the hoods not being painted yet, but I just don't see it. The black one above looks decent I think, would look better if the grills were black, in for painted other colors!
